The Flyers have a lot of issues. We all know what they are. Just have to hope that Hextall can forge ahead and avoid mistakes while repairing the issues.

I think it's going to be at least another season after this one before they're really looking at being a serious threat.

Unfortunately the Fyers know what they have.....but the Cap mess Holmgren has left has really "realistically" limited any chance they have to reshape this team in the short term....

I only got to catch the 3rd but judging from the shot total it must have been open season on Zeppelin and Emery

They were getting strafed, especially Zepp -- Bill's right, yeah, you want to see a momentum save, but those boys were coming in on breakaways and firing bullets from everywhere

I think that is an optimistic timeline giving the years on some of these contracts and growing pains that may come along with bringing a bunch of D prospects in so close together. However, the season after next should be the start of climbing the hilll instead of going down it.

I have an even uglier feeling about tomorrow night. Luckily my son has basketball practice. Pens might be 100% on the PP

Maybe. But after next season the climb begins again, unless Hextall manages to unload some of the more odious deals

Do you think he is not worth it or I should say not worth a major contract?

So if the kings really would be interested in Grossman what type of pick(s) could we expect back?

Missed due to work, but by the score at least seems to have been a more exciting game to watch.

At best a 3rd or so, doubt much higher. Also have serious doubt that Grossmann is a fall back if they can't get Yandle

Despite 11 goals, no, it was not especially exciting

Not sure if exciting is the word I would use...
Everything came up weak for the Flyers to ..
Multiple players were a -5.
Both goalies let up a a good number goals.

Ugh.

The goals and the hit count seemed to indicate otherwise. Ahhh well. Apathy has set in pretty well. Sucks to say but is what it is.

I still stand by rather having Laughton in the AHL and away from this mess but what can you do.

I don't mind him being up, as long as he's playing as much as he was prior to his injury. Bad situation or not, he's not out of place.

I'd guess a 3rd. I don't see him being tradeable, unless somebody specifically wants him. Lot of other options, probably cheaper.

Two totally different types of roles.
